Succeeding the popular Hyper 212, the Hyper 212 Plus carries on the legacy of providing a great balance of performance and noise level during high and low speed operations.

Hyper 212 Plus is Cooler Master's first cooler to be equipped with an all-in-one mounting solution that includes LGA 1156 and 1366. Direct Contact heat-pipe is now also utilized in this latest update.

The Hyper 212 Plus performed admirably. The heat pipe direct touch really allows the cooler to flex it's muscle and keep the processor cool. At the stock speeds the temperature never hit 40 °C and even overclocked it was able to keep the temperatures under control and under 60 °C. The Hyper 212 Plus is CoolerMaster's latest heat pipe direct touch cooler and it performs well. CoolerMaster has done a fantastic job with this cooler and priced around $35.00.

I am sure with PWM enabled sound levels with decrease even further, perhaps even silent to the human ear. All in all CoolerMaster has done an outstanding job with the Hyper 212 plus and earns the Editor's Choice award.

Overall I was most impressed with the performance of this mid range heatsink compared to high end heatsinks from Cooler Master, Noctua, and Thermalright. Although it didn’t outperform any of the heatsinks we tested it against, just being close in performance at a price of $29.99 the Hyper 212 Plus is an amazing value. With its biggest fault being difficult to install I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the 212 Hyper Plus to anyone who is looking for near high end performance at budget prices.

So overall we like what we see very much. Priced at roughly 30 EUR / 35 USD you'll get a lot of cooling performance and an easy to use and install CPU cooler. There really is very little wrong with this product, and as such it comes very much recommended by Guru3D.com.
