Cooler Master's Hyper TX series has evolved with requirements of current mainstream CPUs.

The introduction of Hyper TX3 marks another milestone with Cooler Master's first-ever full compatibility with Intel LGA 1156 socket.

The Hyper TX3 also brings back the "original" direct contact heat-pipe design from Cooler Master.

  • Flexible mountings.
  • Maximum compatible CPU wattage: over 130W TDP.
  • 3 x Direct Contact heat-pipes with aluminum fins to provide excellent heat dissipation.
  • Option for adding 2nd fan to increase cooling performance.
  • 92mm PWM fan with wide RPM range and anti-vibration rubber pads.
  • Silent CPU cooler at only17 dBA (at minimum speed).
  • Easy swappable fan by clips (clips for 2nd fan included).

I just have to start by saying that this has got to be one of my favorite CPU coolers I have ever used. To have the flexibility to switch from Intel to AMD as quickly as it does is a great feature, plus the ability to attach another 90mm fan to increase its cooling power is a huge plus in my books. Unfortunately it did have the highest temps under load in the tests, but I think that the addition of another fan would help improve these numbers. In the end I truly have to say that I really like this CPU cooler.

"The most positive point is the price, 14,95€ TTC, this ventirad is really not expensive and it must be the cheapest one who purpose HDT technology, the PWM and compatibility with almost all the socket except the LGA1366.The mounting is very easy and this ventirad is good performing...”

So there you have it, this conclusion does not need to be any longer. The TX3 is a fair and honest product. If are not planning anything uber extreme with your PC yet merely stick at a mild overclock, then the Hyper TX3 comes very much recommended, not only for your typical PC, but the sheer silence makes me recommend the cooler in a HTPC environment as well.
It's hard to beat a heat-pipe based cooler in this price range, and within its range this cooler hauls ass. Nice job Cooler master, well done.

The CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 is the first heat pipe direct touch CPU cooler from CoolerMaster. This cooler is marketed towards the lower end of the enthusiast spectrum, where stock speeds and sometimes mild overclocks creep their way into a box or two. The price reflects this too. MSRP of the Hyper TX3 is $19.99 and should be in the retail chain soon. So for about twenty bucks you can get a cooler that will do the job and then some.

CoolerMaster has added the ability to add a second 92mm fan for even more cooling prowess, configured in a push/pull configuration may lead to even better results. With the rising cost of living expenses and consumers having less disposable income a 20.00 cooler is a welcome addition to the stable. I wouldn't have a problem recommending this cooler to anyone who is going to either run the processor at stock speeds or throw a slight overclock on it. If you can deal with the fan noise it will handle a mild overclock on the Q9550 to 3.5. The CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 receives our HOT HARDWARE award.

With these two new coolers CPU Hyper TX3 and Hyper 212plus, Cooler Master is inaugurating the Heat Direct Touch. But that’s not the only thing because these two new models are very affordable. Furthermore, these two new cooling comes with new fixation much more easy which facilitate highly the mounting.

A couple notable things about the TX-3 that stood out to were the exposed heatpipes and the rubber pads on the fan to prevent vibration. That goes to show you that even in a budget product they were still able to include features that you would see on high end CPU coolers. Once put to the test the TX-3 stood up very well against some of the best heatsinks made when considering its amazing $19.99 price tag. If you are on a budget and looking for a heatsink you would be crazy to not consider the TX-3.

I am really impressed at how Cooler Master were still able to keep a high quality build design and implement lots of little extra touches like the ability to add a second fan and the fact the cooler can fit the new LGA1156 socket.

Of course we are not looking for the best performance ever but the TX3 was able to hold its own and offer stable performance at both idle and load states.

Overall, if you're looking for a well-performing, solid cooler, with the TX3 you really can't go wrong and all at just £12.99 – great job Cooler Master.

The Coolermaster Hyper TX3 is a simple heatsink which is easy to install on both AMD and Intel 775/1156 processors. In terms of acoustics, the Hyper TX3 is a moderately audible at full speed and near silent when CPU duty is low. I think it's easiest to sum up the Coolermaster Hyper TX3 by saying this; for 85W TDP and lower processors it's a good thermal solution at any fan speed. For +125W TDP chips I'd recommend operating at full fan speed.
